A certificate program in sustainable agriculture using aeroponics that will help transitioning veterans gain so much more than just employment.
Our curriculum combines online-learning with a hands-on approach to teach the basics of aeroponic farming, from seedling to harvest using industry standard equipment, that prepares your Veteran students for employment in the field of sustainable agriculture.
Our curriculum is written and taught by industry experts with years of experience, and includes doctors, teachers, farmers, business leaders, yoga and mindfulness instructors, all while being supported by people like you that want to make a difference in the lives of others.
It takes more than job training to thrive in today’s world, which is why we offer our students a blueprint for a healthy life and renewed vitality through our Health & Wellness curriculum, which includes discussions on diet, exercise, mindfulness, yoga, and a 21-day mindfulness challenge.
Our team of agriculture experts will help you set up everything you need to run a successful Sustainable Agriculture program. We come to your location to set up the aeroponic systems and provide the necessary onboarding, including training on how to use and maintain the systems.
Your program group leader will be properly trained not only with the physical growing systems, but also with the online web application to ensure a smooth running program.
The success of this program depends on you just as much as it depends on us, but don’t worry, we’ll be with you every step of the way.
We use industry standard equipment that prepare students for future job opportunities. Our course training uses both aeroponic vertical gardens as well as NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) growing beds, giving students the knowledge and confidence necessary to succeed.
An advanced form of hydroponics, aeroponics is the process of growing plants in an air or mist environment rather than soil. Aeroponic systems use water, liquid nutrients and a soilless growing medium to quickly and efficiently grow more colorful, tastier, better smelling and incredibly nutritious produce.
Because there’s no dirt, there’s also no digging or weeding. Plus, you don’t have to worry about ground pests or contaminated soil and the vertical garden design uses 90% less space. Some other benefits include:
A central hub for announcements, keeping up to date with the groups activity, or sharing harvest photos.
We give your Veterans access to our instructors through several group Question and Answer Sessions over Zoom so they can ask the questions they need to.
We make learning interesting with video lessons, forum discussions, and interactive quizzes, including matching and fill in the blank.
Weigh produce harvests and track them on our website. Earn points and keep a photo journal with notes for next time!
Community forums and the ability to socially connect with other Veterans from our community gives our students the power to find the answers they need.
We've gamified our system to add a little fun and earn points while learning and interacting with our site. The winners even get prizes!
Whether you would like to set up a pilot in your transition center, or just get more information, we’d love to hear from you!
